MIT is a wholesale distribution company that sells and distributes gardening products to independent retailers, mass retailers, landscapers, and other distributors. The main area of operation/distribution is within the greater-Gauteng, but the distributors cover the rest of the country. MIT has some 12 brands/ranges of products that it distributes, with Weed-Gard being its own brand, registered and trade-marked under the company's name!

MIT acquired the right to distribute the Allgro range of chemical and organic products. This range has been on the market for more than 7 years.
Gardening is becoming more popular, with celebrities now also taking part in gardening activities, radio and television programs dedicated to gardening is getting more common, the range of gardening magazines is expanding and as people decorate their homes, they also want to “decorate” their gardens. Traditionally sales from garden centres of plants vs hardware products was 60 – 40; nowadays it has turned to 60% hardware and 40% plants. That is good for MIT, bacause the ratio is turning in our favour and we have the products to take advantage of this long term trend!
